Gratitude: Giving and Receiving

1. Pumpkin: Yes, I am grateful for pumpkin. It is my favorite food. Eaten with oatmeal for breakfast it is excellent. Truly excellent. It was the perfect way to start the day.

2. The kindness of strangers (not the book): It really makes my day when a stranger preforms an act of kindness, even if its not to me. Watching people do good things to one another really makes an impact on everyone around them. Today was one of those days where I noticed that.

3. The end of summer: I miss the long nights of winter. I miss the warm clothes and chilled breath. I miss the NEED for a cup of chai tea with breakfast. One thing that always entranced me was getting out of the tent in Joshua Tree National Park and feeling the euphoria of the cold stinging my lungs. The air was so crisp and clean. Everything was so vivid. Fall and winter are my favorite times of the year and the end of summer is the start of fall.
